The best Biblical novel I’ve read! I really enjoyed this novel for the interesting insights into the meaning of the Biblical story and for the sense of somehow having lived through the events when I came to the end of the book. It is so much better than all other Biblical novels I have ever read, which inevitably end up being an average romance, disguised as a retelling of the Biblical narrative.
