Martha Martha

Through Lent To Pentecost

The term “Lent” originates from an Old English word meaning the spring season and begins on Ash Wednesday, concluding 40 days later on Palm Sunday. This section is a series of reflections which explore a variety of topics, from the first eighteen chapters of the book, leading the reader to Palm Sunday. These are designed to deepen our relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and bring healing.

Chapter by chapter the guide continues through Holy week to Easter Sunday, with no additional thoughts; what Christ did for each one of us is deeply personal. The story continues, spread over the next fifty days, through Christ’s ascension and then, as His followers waited uncertainly for the arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. This is where your part in the story truly begins.
